# Referrals

> Earn 10% of the Sumo trade fees paid by every organization you refer, claimable into your Sumo Balance.

Refer other teams to Sumo and your organization earns a **10% revenue share** on the Sumo trade fees they pay.

## What You Earn

| **Revenue share**    | 10% of the Sumo trade fees each referred organization pays on its buys and sells                                                                                |
| **Duration**         | For as long as the referred organization trades on Sumo; there is no expiry                                                                                     |
| **Locked at signup** | Each referred organization keeps the share that applied when it signed up, so later changes to the program never reduce what you earn from an existing referral |
| **Paid in**          | The chain's native asset or settlement stablecoin, the same assets the fees were paid in                                                                        |
| **Paid to**          | Your organization's [Sumo Balance](/account/rewards#sumo-balance), when you claim                                                                               |

The share is calculated on the referred organization's full trade fee. It does not come out of their own [cashback](/account/rewards#cashback--rebates), and referred organizations pay the same rates as anyone else.

### What Earns a Share

* Buys and sells Sumo executes for the referred organization through strategies or manual trading actions
* Fees paid in a custom quote token, once Sumo has sold them to native: the share is calculated from the sale's proceeds after the standard 1% conversion charge, as described in [Profiles with a custom quote token](/account/rewards#profiles-with-a-custom-quote-token)

### What Does Not

* [Wallet Farm activity generation](/wallet-farm/generate-activity) fees
* Launch fees, launch tickets, and other non-trading platform fees
* Fees paid in the referred project's own token

## Share Your Link

Open **Rewards** from the app sidebar and scroll to **Referrals**. Organization admins can use:

| Item              | Description                                                                                         |
| ----------------- | --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Referral Link** | Shareable signup link that applies your code automatically                                          |
| **Referral Code** | Your organization's code, for people who sign up without the link                                   |
| **Vanity Code**   | An optional custom code (3 to 32 letters, numbers, `-` or `_`) that you can set once when available |
| **Invites Left**  | How many more organizations can still sign up with your code                                        |

A referral is recorded when a new organization signs up with your link or code. Existing organizations cannot be attached to a referrer afterwards.

### Invite Quota

Every organization starts with 10 referral invites. The quota grows as the organizations you referred trade more, and it never goes down:

## Track Referral Revenue

The **Statistics** block shows totals across all referred organizations:

* **Earned**: referral revenue earned to date
* **Claimable**: referral revenue ready to claim now
* **Sumo Fees**: Sumo trade fees paid by your referred organizations
* **Volume**: combined trading volume of your referred organizations

The **Referred Organizations** list shows each organization that signed up with your code, with:

* Organization name, signup date, and number of trading profiles
* Revenue share
* Earnings, Sumo fees, and trading volume

If nobody has signed up with your code yet, the list shows an empty state.

## Claim Referral Revenue

Referral revenue is claimed per chain into your Sumo Balance.

1. Open **Rewards**
2. Click **Claim Referrals** in the Referrals section
3. Select the chain; the dialog shows the native and stablecoin amounts due on it
4. Confirm the claim
5. Review the ledger entry in Sumo Balance

Once in Sumo Balance, referral revenue can be withdrawn or used for launch tickets like any other balance.
